I wanted to start a business that would keep me close to home. Working on the pipelines and being in the military kept me from home and family for long periods of time, and as I get older, the more I want to stay close to home.

After looking at several options, which included growing mushrooms and raising goats, I started to get discouraged. After mulling it over a few days and deep conversations with several different people, someone suggested why not make something you like. At this time, I might add, we had a drink in our hands that came from a mason jar. That idea struck a major cord in me.

I grew up with the homemade brew being all around me. At that young age I never understood what the mystery was and why it was drank from a jar and not from a bottle. It was not until I got older that I understood what it was.

After a long discussion with a lot of people I decided to take the plunge. With full support of friends and family I started Green Valley Distillery.

At Green Valley Distillery we believe that everyone should be able to afford a good drink whenever they want, and Green Valley Distillery makes this belief a reality.
